Ashton In Little Neuro Tree Trio Centre

Recently i came across a new flyer in Little Neuro Tree which highlights the centre’s program (see bottom of post).  I think the program is quite good so i decided to write a post on it.

My son Ashton has attended Little Neuro Tree (formerly Trio Centre) for a little more than half a year now (check elaine’s post on “Ashton Enjoys the Neuro-Lingusitic Brain Development Program
July 27, 2008
“.  What started with a preview talk at the Little Neuro Tree (Bugis Branch) turns out to be a major change in him.  He has turned out more confident, creative, imaginative and appreciates music and languages.

Ashton used to be a VERY shy little boy and disliked music.  Whenever he has lessons in Growing Up Gifted (GUG), he will just stand there watching his peers danced and jumped around.  Furthermore, as we only speak to him in English at home, he refuses to speak in Mandarin or read Chinese books.

After six months in Little Neuro Tree, Ashton has shown tremendous improvement all round though he can still be shy at times and still prefers English.  He is able to speak confidently with many people and starts raving about his latest outings with us to anyone for example his latest visits to the Zoo, airport, Thomas train “live” show, Madagascar etc.

He can even sing and dance at home now…something he never did in the beginning of the year.  He particularly likes the Japanese lessons and he can even sings songs in Japanese like Zousan (elephant song) and Kobuta (Pig song)

He also enjoys doing artwork and even my neighbour, who has a daughter almost a year older than Ashton, is impressed that he is able to use scissors independently to cut his own artwork at home.  This is something that normal childcare does not encourage but Little Neuro Tree does and does so responsibly too by teaching them to hold scissors safely. See picture of Ashton doing a “spectacle” before handing over the scissors to other people.

His term in Little Neuro Tree ended last Friday and the comments written by his teachers sums up everything and tells us that we have made the correct choice to send him to Little Neuro Tree (or Trio Centre as he likes to call it).

Comments are “Ashton has perfect memory.  He enjoys threading and shows great interest in puzzles!  He is such a vocal boy. I love talking to him alot.  Keep up the superb job” (Teacher Peiqin).  “He enjoys japanese class, memory games and jig saw puzzles. Very Well! Keep in up” (Jin Sinseh).  “Ashton is very patient with puzzles and can do up to 20 pieces.  Great that you are enjoying language games alot too” (Aiwei Laoshi).

We are planning to enrol Ashlyn into the program in Apr next year to join Ashton but have yet to decide whether to go for Bugis or Dhoby Ghaut branch.  Though we would like to start her earlier, we felt that it will be better if we were to start her at her 20th month, the same as Ashton, to be fair to both.

If you are interested in enrolling your child for a enrichment course, why not consider Little Neuro Tree (LNT) now as they are having unprecedented offers for the new term like $2009 for the whole year.  The Dhoby Ghaut Branch in PoMo (Paradiz Centre) is throwing in 3 Free Trial Classes if you sign up during the Open House on 27 & 28 Dec 2008.   These trial classes are worth about $150 (we used to pay for Ashton), check out the promotion details below
