Hurray, Ashton Is Finally Toilet Trained

If you have followed Elaine’s blog, you would have read that Ashton is finally toilet trained.  Here’s a recent picture of him on his little red potty chair.

It was a major relief for both of us.  Having struggled with him for months over potty training which often resulted in us having the dilemma of to give in to him or not.  If we do not give him diapers, he will almost be sure to constipate.  If we give him diapers, he will not be able to outgrow it, it means another wasted effort and more money spent on diapers and baby wipes.

To make things worse, he would not even want to sit on the potty chair, even when the potty chair was picked and chosen by him.

Now he is able to express to us that he wants to poo, sits down on his red little potty chair, smiles when he hears the sound of poo dropping on the potty chair.

We can sense his relief by his laughter too especially on the very first day he succeeded and peeped into the potty to see his poo.  He even volunteered to flush the toilet and waved bye bye to the poo.

Ashton is not wearing diapers in the daytime anymore, even during his naps.  He even told us today that he is a big boy now and he does not need diapers :-)

If you are trying to potty training your toddler and faced similar problem about toilet training toddler, you may want to read more in this site on potty training and head straight for the blog (link right below) for some valuable information.
