Reading How To Sell Anything To Anybody By The Worlds Greatest Salesman

If you have read my post on Resolutions and Goals for 2009, you will know that one of my goals will be to read at least 12 self improvement books.

The very first book i picked up for Year 2009 is a book i found on my book shelf, which have tonnes of self improvement books.  The book title is “How to Sell Anything to Anybody” by “The World’s Greatest Salesman – Joe Girard”.

This is a book bought by Elaine and i guessed she probably have not read it yet as she has tonnes of parenting books to read herself for more parenting tips.  The reason why i chose this “How to Sell Anything to Anybody” book is because of T. Harv Eker’s advice – Learn Marketing – it is a single most important skill master so as to succeed.

I reckon that since i am into business, i can’t run away from selling.  Furthermore, being a engineer for more than 8 years, i spent more time on process tuning, SPC charts and conducting experiments than learning how to sell myself.  This is the year of change for me.

I shall give myself 2 weeks to complete this book and write a review on it.

In addition, i have entered into an investment challenge with one of my best friend Joe Ng to achieve another goal of mine >30% return on investment.  Both of us will challenge each other with a yet-to-determined amount of initial capital to grow wealth.  We can do anything with it i.e. invest in stocks, bonds, cash deposits, business, toto, 4Ds etc but we have to update each other on whatever we invest.

This is a good form of maintaining healthy competition which we will share with each other why we invest in a certain investment vehicle.  In this way, both of us benefit like what Adam Khoo taught in his Secrets of Self Made Millionaires on 10 wealth habits to learn and adopt – Wealth Habit #9 Play WIN WIN.

At the time of this writing, i have covered 27 pages of “How to Sell Anything to Anybody” by “The World’s Greatest Salesman” and is quite a good read.  Will be able to learn something :-)

    Hi Poh Heng
    I have read
“How to Sell Anything to Anybody” Joe Girard too, as well as “Secrets of The Millionaire Mind” by Harv Eker.

I consider “Secrets of The Millionaire Mind” as my financial literacy bible, on top of some of the books by Robert Kiyosaki.

    Keep your informative posts coming!

    Hi Donald,

I also read Adam Khoo’s books, quite good too.

Only covered 3/4 of Joe Girard’s book. Hope to complete it by end of the month.

    Thanks for your comments. :)
